1st Annual Walk for Wildlife

April 17th, 2010

We had lots of help raising funds to rehabilitate wildlife rescues! All donations go into a special account set up to treat and rehabilitate wildlife brought to Hartwood Animal Hospital.

Baby squirrels sent to the rehabilitator until they're old enough to be released.

We met at Hartwood Animal Hospital and participated in a 1 mile walk down Celebrate Virginia Parkway. Randy Brooks, a wildlife rehabilitator, was our guest speaker.

There were tons of activities for the kids including face painting, games, ambulance & fire truck! Naturally, we enjoyed lots of good food: hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones. A good time was had by all, and we are so grateful for everyone who came out to support Hartwood and their passion for rescuing local wildlife.
