Heather Bowman, LVT

Heather joined the Hartwood team in November 2007 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Heather has always had an interest in animals and has been working in the veterinary field since 1996. She began here career as a kennel assistant and quickly graduated to veterinary assistant after being accepted in the Veterinary Technology program at NVCC, Loudoun. She graduated from NVCC in 1999 with an A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology.

Shortly after receiving her degree, she was offered a position working for a Neurologist at a Veterinary Referral Practice in Northern Virginia. She spent the next four years of her career learning an intense and challenging aspect of veterinary medicine. Needing a shorter commute and slower pace, she returned to small animal practice. Her interests include anesthesia and small animal surgery.

Since returning to general practice she has started a family and become a mother to a beautiful son, Kyle. Heather also has four furry felines, who adore her attention.

Heather is happy to have joined such a wonderful family here at HAH. She is looking forward to gaining new experiences and expanding her exotic medicine knowledge.
