Dr. Alicia StampVeterinarianPrior to experiencing the charm of the South, Dr. Alicia Stamp was raised in the central coast of California. She majored in agriculture and environmental science at the University of California at Santa Cruz. It wasn’t until she worked as a technician at a Northern California Humane Society that she fell in love with companion animal medicine. Dr. Stamp then went on to spend several years honing her skills as a critical care technician in St. Petersburg, Florida. Unknowingly, she proceeded in Dr. Jewett’s footsteps by attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Leeward Island of St. Kitts, West Indies.
Under Dr. Jewett’s mentorship, she looks forward to expanding her knowledge of exotic medicine. She is, above all, passionate about providing information and health care for people and their beloved companions. Dr. Stamp is an avid runner, kayaker, vegetable gardener, chef, baker, and outdoors-woman who has come to adore the history and imagination of Northern Virginia life. You may find her lost, exploring nearby battlefields or combing the isles of Wegman’s Grocery store. Dr. Stamp is incredibly excited to be working and living in Fredericksburg! She shares her home with her partner, Dawnde Wallen; Finnegan, a goofy shelter Australian Shepherd; a Caribbean street dog the local kids decided to name Brownie; and Tallulah, a cat with deeply Southern sensibilities. |
