Dawnde grew up in Largo, Florida with 1 brother and 2 sisters. After graduating high school, she obtained a 4 year Montessori teaching degree while working in the infant room. Dawnde moved to Northern California, where she worked in the high-tech industry as a director of sales for 10 years.

After leaving the sales industry, Dawnde pursued massage therapy and then found herself enjoying her job as a technician at the Marin Humane Society. Dawnde moved back to Florida and began working as an ICU technician in a small animal hospital.  She proceeded to St. Kitts to enjoy Caribbean life and her job as an ICU technician at Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine.

Before moving to Virginia, Dawnde was working at Auburn University, School of Veterinary Medicine in the ICU as a Critical Care Technician. Besides Dawnde’s tremendous intensive care/emergency experience, she brings great energy and enthusiasm to Hartwood Animal Hospital.

Dawnde loves Zumba, knitting, hot weather and vegetarian cooking. Dawnde shares her life with her partner, Alicia Stamp and their three furry family members: Brownie, a St. Kitt’s dog; Finnegan, an Australian Shepherd; and Tahlulah, a Domestic Long-Hair cat.
