This annual vaccine protect dogs against Leptospirosis. It used to be a part of the Distemper vaccine, but it is now given separately.
Leptospirosis is a severe infection caused by a bacterium. Leptospirosis is transferred through urine contaminated water or any direct contact with the urine of an infected animal or wildlife. Symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, dry cough and conjunctivitis.

**Dogs less then 20 lbs. will not be vaccinated for Leptospirosis due to high incidence of vaccine reactions.
